OMBE is happy to welcome Hanna Kluner to our staff! She is a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and Grief Recovery Specialist. She is currently available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for sessions in Grief Recovery, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. Hanna Kluner

Hanna Kluner is a Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and a Grief Recovery Specialist. Hanna brings a depth of gentle, loving compassion to both her private and group work. Her passion is focused on working with the body’s wisdom and assisting her clients to uncover areas that have created blocks and diminished personal freedom by assisting in unlocking unconscious and repressed emotions. Her sessions offer a way to release stored tension in the body, restore and regulate the nervous system, as well as to assist in developing a deeper connection with the wisdom of the body, leading to new awarenesses of Self. Hanna creates a safe place to explore the innate wisdom that resides within each of us and recapture a sense of wholeness leading to a more empowered and fulfilling life. Hanna brings to her sessions as well her knowledge and experience as an Energy Healer. She has studied Pranic Healing with Master Choa Kok Sui as well as completing a three-year program studying Energy Medicine through the Matrix Light Institute. In addition, Hanna also offers a very effective 12-week program specifically designed to assist in the Grief process. Aside from her private practice, she has worked in a variety of settings from an Eating Disorder Center to being an integral part of an Residential Treatment Program at a Recovery Center for Women. Hanna is extremely committed to her clients and very passionate in her work. Through Somatic Experiencing and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy she has helped many of her clients manage depression, anxiety and trauma. Hanna is dedicated to helping clients across all ages and life stages and has worked with helping teens become more confident in all aspects of self. Hallie Dumont, RYT

Registered Yoga Teacher

Hallie Dumont first fell in love with yoga in 2009 while living in Malibu, California. She continued to grow her practice and become involved in the Boston yoga community while she worked as a studio assistant at Prana Power Yoga in 2011 and 2012.

After being laid off from her corporate job as a manager of business development and sales in May 2015, she was given the opportunity to follow her yoga dreams. Hallie received her 200-Hour RYT from South Boston Yoga. Before joining OMBE she was exclusively teaching private sessions. The whole health approach that OMBE offers clients fits perfectly with her core beliefs.

Hallie’s classes are focused on teaching correct alignment to prevent injury and assisting yogis in deepening their practice. Hallie holds degrees in Studio Art and Geography from the University of Vermont. She lives in Boston with her husband, Nate and their dog, Bella, a rescue from the beaches of Puerto Rico.

Michaela is massage therapist, yoga instructor, and Reiki practitioner. She is available for massages on Sundays or by appointment. She is also available for yoga private sessions by appointment. See her bio below!

Michaela Sheerar, LMT, RYT

Licensed Massage Therapist & Registered Yoga Teacher

Michaela is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and licensed massage therapist in Massachusetts. She holds certifications in Reflexology and in the Usui System of Reiki Level I and Level II. Michaela is interested in working on a holistic level- focusing on mind, body and spirit with her clients. In practicing yoga, she enjoys working with engaging the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies, utilizing breath as a window for inner exploration. She is passionate about promoting relaxation in massage and reflexology, instilling mindfulness in yoga practice, and working on an energetic level using the teachings and traditions of Usui Reiki. Her professional goals and aspirations are to become fully involved in the holistic community, working to serve those in need.

It was a beautiful morning and we were so happy to share it with such an amazing group. We are pretty impressed that 40+ came out to practice yoga in the middle of Copley Square early on a Saturday morning.

What to expect from private sessions

What should I expect during my first private session?

We recommend that you arrive early to complete any health history form (or you can complete one beforehand by downloading from our website here) and so that you can enjoy our tea bar. During your first session, your practitioner will review your health history, discuss any major health concerns as well as the reason for choosing the service, and your overall health goals before beginning any treatment or exercise program.

Consultation vs. Full Session

Q: When should I book a 30-minute consult and when should I book an initial full session?

A: OMBE offers all of our new guests to book a free 30-minute consult with the exception of massage. This consult gives you the opportunity to meet the practitioner face-to-face, visit OMBE in person, and discuss any health concerns that you have prior to booking an appointment. During these sessions, no treatment is performed. For our exercise-based services, the practitioner may have you complete a basic series of exercises or poses but it is simply to assess how you move, observe injured areas, or determine your general fitness level. You should book this type of session if you are completely new to any service (i.e. you never have take a yoga class before or you have very specific health concerns (i.e. you were diagnosed with infertility and want to try acupuncture), or in general if you are not sure where to begin.

Join us for our final Yoga on the Square outdoor class. Held on the Copley Square lawn adjacent to Trinity Church, we’ve spend that last few months enjoying the morning sunshine as we take it to the mat. Join us this Saturday, Septemer 13th from 9:00am to 10:15am with sweetgreen as our class sponsor. Students are led through a series of dynamic postures designed to open the body and calm the mind. This class is open to students of all levels and ages. BYO mat or towel and we’ll see you there!

Insurance: To accept or not accept

We get this question A LOT! And we get it. When you make monthly contributions towards coverage, you want to put it to good use. Here is our policy at OMBE.

Our chiropractor currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield for all chiropractic services. Our practitioners generally spend 60-90 minutes with each of their clients.  Unfortunately, insurance carriers generally do not reimburse for that length of time for many of the modalities that the practitioners use. For that reason, we do not bill insurance directly.

However, we can provide you with a super bill (including CPT codes and billing codes) that you can submit directly to your insurance carrier. Several of our patients receive reimbursement this way. You can also consider using your FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Spending Account) for many of our services.

Finally, some of our services such as acupuncture are considered a medical expense and are tax deductible at the end of the year. We can provide you with detailed receipts.

Always consult with your insurance carrier so that you know exactly what is and is not covered.

We are so excited to have Bec Conant join our team! She brings extensive knowledge and expertise as not only a yoga instructor, but as a specialist in the world of prenatal and postnatal training. Bec Conant

Bec has been teaching Yoga classes since 2001, when she finished the teacher-training course at OM Yoga Center under Cyndi Lee. Since then Bec has gone on to gain certifications in restorative yoga and her specialty, pre-natal and post-natal yoga. Bec focuses on helping women develop strength, flexibility and confidence throughout their pregnancy and post-partum. Bec has studied pre- and post-natal yoga with Betsy Kase, Janice Clarfield, Judith Lasater. Bec has also assisted Janice in training future pre-natal yoga teachers at Kripalu Center for Yoga and wellness. In January of 2007 Bec completed Barbara Benagh’s 15-month course: The Art of Teaching Yoga.

Bec began her training as a Birth Doula in August of 2003 during a pre-natal yoga training. Her first birth experience taught her the value of intuition and a calm, steady presence in birth. Since then Bec has attended numerous births first in the New York area, and here in Boston since September 2005. Bec is certified through DONA International, and to date has attended almost 200 births.

NOTE: Bec is currently not taking on New Doula clients. Repeat clients only. Sorry.

Bec has also studied the Mongan Method of HypnoBirthing® and is a certified HypnoBirthing® childbirth educator. For more on this method of childbirthing involving deep relaxation and self-hypnosis please visit the section on HypnoBirthing®. Bec teaches both group and individual classes in HypnoBirthing® around the Boston area.

Through her years of teaching and attending birthing women Bec has seen a deep connection between the body, the mind and the heart, a connection she hopes to share with her students and birthing mothers. Bec’s classes focus on developing strength and flexibility while learning to respect and listen to the body’s wisdom. Her gentle teaching style allows students to deepen their practice while working at their own pace.

Bec teaches yoga classes in and around the Boston area, in a variety of styles including: Pre-natal yoga, Vinyasa yoga, beginners yoga and inspired by her work with pregnant moms, a mommy and me yoga class. She also conducts trainings in teaching prenatal yoga and adapting Vinyasa yoga for pregnant practitioners.
