Life Coaching vs Counseling
From the desk of Nicole Trincia, CLC, LMT... Q: How is Life Coaching Different from Counseling. What if I’m Also Receiving Counseling?
A: Life Coaching is an application of Positive Psychology that focuses on the present and moving forward. It is typically most appropriate for those who have identified their challenges and are ready to take action, or who are at least open and able to doing so. It IS okay to be receiving counseling for one aspect of your life, and Coaching for another. Just communicate with both your Therapist and Life Coach about your mutual, but exclusive commitments.
