How to Get into the Pose
1. Begin standing on your mat with feet about hip-width apart and your hands at your heart. Shifting your weight over to one leg begin to feel all four corners of the supporting foot root down into the floor.
2. Place the opposite foot either above or below the knee, possibly placing it there with your hand.
3. Begin to press the sole of the foot into the leg and the leg back into the foot to create more stability and strength in the pose.
4. You can keep your hands at your heart or when and if you feel stable take the arms up by your ears. For an extra challenge begin to draw your eyes up to the sky or close them.
Finish with your mantra: "I HEART Yoga because..."
