Jessica L. Molleur is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and massage therapist in Massachusetts and California.  She currently maintains a private acupuncture practice in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, which was awarded Best Acupuncture Center by Boston Magazine. Areas of specialty include women's health, pregnancy, infertility, pediatrics, and sports medicine. Jessica also serves as a health care consultant for integrative medical institutes, infertility centers, and green spas.

Prior to her consulting work, Jessica founded an integrative health center in Boston. The eco-friendly center was one of the first twenty-five companies certified as a Sustainable Business Leader in Boston. The center was the recipient of several awards, including Mayor Menino's Green Business Award, a multiple recipient of Boston Business Journal's Best Workplace, Boston Magazine's Best of Boston Award for Massage Therapy as well as Best Acupuncturists in Boston, Best Eco-Friendly Massage, Eco-Beauty Bar, Nutritionist, Personal Trainer, Pilates, and Workout.

Pose Name

Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (ekah-padah-rajah-kah-po-tas-sana)

Benefits of the Pose

~ Stretches piriformis, rotators, and glutes ~ Creates calming energy of body alignment ~ Recommended for runners and those with low back pain

How to Get into the Pose

1.  From Downward-Facing Dog, sweep your right knee forward and lay it on the mat with the thigh parallel to the side of the mat and the heel toward the groin. Flex the front foot and keep ankle in neutral as you square the hips and fold forward over the knee.  This brings you to Pigeon Pose.

2.  Keep your weight shifted back into the hips and the hips square as your release over your front leg. For a deeper stretch, bring your calf parallel to the front of the mat and fold forward once again. Kristy demonstrates here.









3.  For full king pigeon, bend the back leg and hook toes in the crook of the elbow.  Your right hand can reach forward in chin mudra, or bind overhead with the left hand. Drop your weight evenly into both hips as you breath space into the chest and draw the tailbone down.













Finish with your mantra: "I HEART Yoga because..."
