In case you missed it, here is a recap of what we discovered and uncovered during the Discover Your True Calling workshop. If what we discussed peaks your interest, schedule a complimentary 20-minute consult with me. I’d love to help you discover your true calling!

Goals Set: Create space and stillness from your busy life.  Reconnect to your body and nature, so that creativity may flow in and your authentic self and desires may blossom.

Action Steps: We discovered how to create the essential daily and long-term practical conditions from which to Discover Your True Calling.

#BostonStrong #OneBoston #BacktoBackBay

Create Space & Stillness

From work, family and your busy mind.  We explored various forms of meditation, including breathwork, body scanning, and yoga.

Nature Immersion

We discovered the naturally calming and healing quality of nature.  We took notice its expansiveness, all-acceptance, and insightful metaphors.

Diet

We discussed how to create balance and peace internally, as well as externally.  An adequately and harmoniously fueled body provides the essential nutrients for effective brain functioning and relaxed, creative thinking.

Exercise

Through connecting with your body every day, we learned to release physical and mental tension.  Practice listening to your body, acknowledge it’s signals of distress and delight, and trust it as your true protector and guide.

Reflection

Developed a deeper self-awareness through use of various reflective tools, including journaling, gratitude lists and dream analysis.  Learn to identify archetypes and symbols as clues about your subconscious perspective.  Utilize these powerful indicators to discover your truth and direct your path.

Self Recognition

Relish what makes you, you!  Identify your triggers (both light and dark), strengths and unique experiences. Learn to use fun tools, including vision boards, Pinterest, and dream maps to flesh out your understanding of what truly makes you “tick” and your gifts to the world.

Try New Things

Doing things differently creates new neural pathways and effectively rewires our brain for a fresh perspective and a new existence.  Explore how moving your physical “stuff” can change your life through Feng Shui. Identify, then explore activities you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t.  Consider a dietary cleanse.  Let’s brainstorm other ways to mix it up!

What to expect from private sessions

From the desk of OMBE…

What should I expect during my first private session?

We recommend that you arrive early to complete any health history form (or you can complete one beforehand by downloading from our website here) and so that you can enjoy our tea bar. During your first session, your practitioner will review your health history, discuss any major health concerns as well as the reason for choosing the service, and your overall health goals before beginning any treatment or exercise program.

Reserve your private session online.

Consultation vs. Full Session

From the desk of OMBE…

Q: When should I book a 30-minute consult and when should I book an initial full session?

A: OMBE offers all of our new guests to book a free 30-minute consult with the exception of massage. This consult gives you the opportunity to meet the practitioner face-to-face, visit OMBE in person, and discuss any health concerns that you have prior to booking an appointment. During these sessions, no treatment is performed. For our exercise-based services, the practitioner may have you complete a basic series of exercises or poses but it is simply to assess how you move, observe injured areas, or determine your general fitness level. You should book this type of session if you are completely new to any service (i.e. you never have take a yoga class before or you have very specific health concerns (i.e. you were diagnosed with infertility and want to try acupuncture), or in general if you are not sure where to begin.

Both consults and initial sessions can be easily booked online. We hope to see you soon at OMBE!

Insurance: To accept or not accept

We get this question A LOT! And we get it. When you make monthly contributions towards coverage, you want to put it to good use. Here is our policy at OMBE.

Our chiropractor currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield for all chiropractic services. Our practitioners generally spend 60-90 minutes with each of their clients.  Unfortunately, insurance carriers generally do not reimburse for that length of time for many of the modalities that the practitioners use. For that reason, we do not bill insurance directly.

However, we can provide you with a super bill (including CPT codes and billing codes) that you can submit directly to your insurance carrier. Several of our patients receive reimbursement this way. You can also consider using your FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Spending Account) for many of our services.

Finally, some of our services such as acupuncture are considered a medical expense and are tax deductible at the end of the year. We can provide you with detailed receipts.

Always consult with your insurance carrier so that you know exactly what is and is not covered.

How Do You Deep Practice?

From the desk of Nicole Trincia, CLC, LMT…

As the dog days of Summer set upon us, I am naturally guided to allow the body to slow down, rest and absorb.  The air has seemed particularly fresh and cleansed following the recent July 4th Hurricane Arthur in the Northeast.  Additionally, this past weekend’s Super-Full Moon further heralded a time for going deep with-in, meditation, reflection and what Martha Beck refers to as deep practice.
moon
A Walking Meditation
I took in this gorgeous full moon’s loving and abundant rays as long as I could, allowing
the accompanying warm breezes to wash over me.  The following Sunday I rose out of bed when I was rested, put on exactly the clothes that were comfortable for me, and leisurely strolled to a favorite cafe, but not my usual.  My brunch, although the same as I have had many times before, was the best tasting I have ever experienced.  I then meandered, sometimes sitting, through some parks on my way to checking out an outdoor market that has been there for ten years in a nearby part of my neighborhood that I never frequent.  It was carefree, artistic, friendly and refreshing. The market was just starting to pack up as I had satisfactorily taken in what I wanted.  I leisurely explored the rest of this “new” neighborhood, intrigued by how it had developed since I had last been here about 10 years ago, keeping the natural pace of my body and perhaps that of a snail.

I HEART Yoga - Supta Baddha Konasana 2 with photo edits
Savasana: Deep Relaxation
I had taken in all that I had wanted to explore of this “other” neighborhood, but I was not ready to return home just yet.  Although I was heading in that direction, I followed my body’s compass, and without thought, pulled myself up onto a tree-shaded stone wall, sat cross-legged, and rested my legs.  I noticed the beauty of this particular spot and typically busy intersection that I had often hustled passed, and how unusually quiet and peaceful it now was.  I relaxed deeper by fully lying on the stone wall, adjacent to a flower bed and looking up into a giant honeysuckle-like tree. There was a popular outdoor restaurant patio with a couple of waiters setting up next to me and trendy music hall valet attendees nearby, but it was quiet now, and I allowed  the garden to absorb me.  I flowed from eyes closed to looking up at the sky, through the trees and at the bees and tiny sparrows flying in and out of the honey suckles.  I was fully supported and surprisingly comfortable on the stone wall.  I was the most relaxed I have been in a long time.
As the sun’s rays were eased by a light cloud cover, a gentle hum of people started to fill the adjacent patio, and I was satisfactorily rested, I eased myself up from the wall and proceeded to head home.  Just as I stood, I  noticed that the centerpiece rock in the garden I was lying no more than a foot away from was artfully carved into the shape of a snail- how appropriate.

Extending Deep Practice
Slowly re-acclimating to my home environment into Sunday evening, I was mindful to preserve this natural flow of peace and ease throughout my body.  I further reflected on how I could maintain this Sunday walking meditation throughout my week.  Why shouldn’t we enjoy this ease and alignment with each moment, every day- not just the weekend, Sundays or until the next Super Moon?  Remember, the Moon is always there, the constant feminine force loving us and reminding us to love and nurture ourselves.  We don’t need to wait for her to show herself in full bloom as she cycles through her phases to give ourselves this nourishment.

Try This

I like to ask myself (my body) in each moment, before the next step, “what do I need right now- what would feel really good?”  If resistance arises about doing something else that starts to pull you away from this place of ease, ask yourself, “is it possible to delay this other activity for now, for the higher sake of my joy?  What’s the worst that can happen?”  Almost always, I find that I have room to weave more ease-filling activities into my day than I initially think.  This is vital practice. Many of the things we “think” we need to do are not- or at least not right now.  I encourage you to engage in this deep practice as much as possible.  See how much you can stretch and let go. Watch your life fill with calm, beauty and abundance.  Become a radiant Super Moon!

How Do You Deep Practice?

I would love to hear about how you reconnect and ground yourself to your truth and your creativity.  Share with me.

Perhaps you are new to deep practice or looking for ways to develop this life-force strengthening skill.  Allow me to share what I have spent a life-time honing.  It would be my delight to guide you to unlock your unique inner bliss.  Learn how.

Coaching Power of Listening

From the desk of Nicole Trincia, CLC, LMT…

Have you ever experienced having a challenge or uncertainty that once you described it to another person, the solution suddenly appeared or you answered your own question?  I do this all the time.  It’s almost like the act of sharing was intended as an opportunity for me to separate myself from the situation, frame it into intelligible words, that I could then see more clearly for myself.  Often times the other person doesn’t even have to say anything.  But their presence is key- their listening
Such is the power of the compassionate witness and the experience of being truly heard.  Yet, so often this experience is hard to find or undervalued. Most people are anxious to be heard and quick to tell others what to do. Less so, do they practice good listening- unconditional acceptance to truly understand and to draw others out.
I am delighted to serve as this compassionate witness in my new Coaching to Clarity Program: a six-week journey of one-to-one, private coaching for those who want to get clear about what you crave and start manifesting your dreams.
Furthermore, I have learned from my own physical and personal growth, massage practice and work with various healing professionals, the importance of regular practice and consistency.  Health professionals (psychologists, physical therapists and chiropractors for example) have commonly found that a minimum of six to ten weeks of “treatment” is most effective in creating lasting change.  You don’t maintain a healthy heart rate, for example, by going for one run, right?  You train your body overtime, by integrating exercise into your week and hopefully some form into each day.  You make small improvements each time. You have good days, you may have some not so good days.  But the overall direction tends to move forward and upward, often in a spiral.
I want smart and passionate people who want to get clear about what they crave and start manifesting their dreams to have this same benefit.  That is why I have created this 6-week program (that could really be 10 weeks or more for those who are truly committed) to offer a solid foundation and catapult for manifesting their dreams.
I am being completely transparent in sharing that I currently have seven spots left to offer individual coaching to those who want to get going with creating the life they want and are sick of feeling “stuck”.  If you or anyone you know are ready to start making some serious change, then please pass this letter along or reach out to me to let me know.  I would be delighted to provide the consistent and reliable framework needed and be the compassionate witness to you or someone you know. To Your Clarity!

Key to Happiness & Success

From the desk of Nicole Trincia, CLC, LMT…

Do you have the key thing that happy and successful people have?

Well, some may say that there are actually several keys, (i.e. Stephen Covey,The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People). However, I know for sure and I’m certain that Covey and many other happy and successful people agree that being clear is key, if not most crucial, to achieving your goals.

If you’re not clear about what it is you want, how can you expect to attain it? If there are mixed messages in your head, you are undoubtedly acting “mixed”, without purpose, or not at all. Essential people and opportunities are not “coming” to you, because you don’t recognize them even when they cross your path, everyday.

If you’re beating yourself up right now or feeling “stuck”- stop. Know that it’s okay and there are many others out there that feel stuck too. Take this uncertainty as a helpful signal that you may need to get out a “new map” or a “new pair of glasses”. It’s much easier to get where you’re going, when you can see clearly!

I have progressed through numerous life transitions and I know how frustrating it can feel being stuck. However, I also know how liberating and exciting these periods of growth can be when you approach them with a clear and honest understanding of what you truly desire and actually leverage such opportunities to live a more abundant and joyful life!

I am thrilled to offer you some invaluable tools to support you finding YOUR clarity and joyful path to manifesting what you crave. Imagine what it will feel like when your goal is so deeply defined (in your gut, your heart, and your soul) that it’s a “no-brainer” and a matter of fact. Then imagine that you are so crystal clear about “what comes next” that the first micro-step is effortless- no more difficult than picking up a coffee at your favorite cafe (or tea at your favorite tea bar). You are on your way to what it is you are meant to be, because it is clear in your thoughts, your actions follow and there is nothing to stop you from what is true.

Take advantage of learning about some of the essential tools to get you started on your new and exciting journey by starting life coaching.

Get Clear About What You Crave and Start Manifesting Your Dreams!

Clear Goals Create Clear Paths

From the desk of Nicole Trincia, CLC, LMT…

Ever wonder how some days you can jump out of bed energized and sail through your day with ease, while other days can feel like a drag and you never seem to get anything done?

I was contemplating this the other day as I was able to tackle various projects and errands quicker and more joyfully than I had anticipated.  I knew exactly what I wanted to accomplish and clearly defined each step along the way.  I had a plan. Granted, some of the errands were of relative low “importance” (i.e. stop by bagel shop, take subway to pick up glasses, stop by copier on way home).  However, they were all essential parts of my daily routine, personal care, and business.  I was able to complete my tasks swiftly and effortlessly.  I felt satisfied.

So, what if we could apply this simple strategy to more “complex” projects in our lives?  When you get up in the morning, you don’t typically struggle with getting ready (assuming you’ve rested enough, allotted enough time in your schedule, etc.)  You know what to do first (get in the shower), second (dry off), third (get dressed), and so on.  What if you approached your “bigger” tasks in a similar manner?

First, you would identify what it is you would like to accomplish as clearly as you would something as straight forward as “picking up your glasses”.  This may take some time to go through some reflective pre-work, but is essential to achieving your goal.  A well lit beacon in the night is much easier to find than one that sits dark or is blocked by clouds.  Start by visualizing your goal.  See it crystal clear and without question, like the route I took to pick up my glasses, knowing I will get them, bring them home, and wearing them already.  Now, zoom-in very small. What would be the very first step you could take in moving in the direction of manifesting your dream?  It might even be getting out a pad of paper and brainstorming the pieces, or as simple as taking 15 minutes to be very still and quiet as you look out the window or get in nature to “bathe” in how it would feel to already be living your dream.  It also sometimes helps to track backwards from your goal if you’re stuck on figuring out the next step.

Once you have your plan (a collection of chronological steps), take the first micro step in moving forward.  Keep it small and manageable.  Biting off more than you can chew at one time or pinning yourself against time or money are sure goal squelchers.  Move slowly, as is comfortable for you.  Let your body be your guide to your pace, not the clock or your to-do-list.  To-do-lists are effective maps to your road of progress, keep you energized and clear about what comes next.  They are meant to be modified and extended as your body dictates (not the other way around!) and as your plan evolves, unexpected changes undoubtedly occur, and new information is received.  When you’re ready for more, take the next step. Remember, each step (even just thinking briefly about your goal) is bringing you one step closer than you were to realizing your dream!

Still lacking clarity to what it is you crave or would like help manifesting your dream?  Join me and other smart and passionate change-makers in my upcoming FREE teleconference, Coaching to Clarity later this month.  Sign-up now for more details!
